"If you do have to ask a question, people are willing to help. You just have to know how to ask. Don’t make demands. Ask focused questions and provide good information for people to work with." --brahm2, moderator of the case modding section of X-S forums
There are lots of resources on the 'net for Xbox hacking. This page shows some of the resources available. Note that some of these are a bit specialized, such as HaloMods.com which is unlikely to be of much use to those who don't play Halo.
Resources:"The Usual Places"
A term used quite a bit in the Xbox Hacking Scene, which annoys the bajeebers out of anybody who doesn't know where "The Usual Places" are and wants access to whatever people seem to always be indicating can be found in "The Usual Places".
A visitor can gird one's self with mIRC and connect to a random EFNet server, join the #xbins channel, and follow directions from there. Generally that involves sending a private /msg message saying "!list" to the entity posessing the IRC nick "xbins" (unless the topic of the #xbins channel says to do something else, like /msg xbins_ instead), and then using an FTP client to connect to distribution.xbins.org with the same username as the IRC nick used by the mIRC user and a password of emulation. Going into IRC is necessary because the FTP passwords are a one-time use and are generated only when the bot on IRC receives a message. This is often referred to as "the usual places" by websites who won't host XDK-created material.
